Margo Gillis

Margo Gillis, LPA

Margo is a Licensed Psychological Associate currently in her third year of a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Antioch University Seattle. Prior to joining PATH, Margo spent a year at the Antioch University Clinic seeing a broad range of clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship ruptures, grief, job insecurity, self-directed violence, and various trauma responses. Her B.A. is in Counseling Psychology, and she brings experience from working in the legal field. This history informs Margo’s education and practice as she continues to work with those affected by systems of constraint and oppression.

In assessments, Margo strives to understand the person in front of her as best as possible. In addition to focusing on what brought you into the assessment process, Margo prioritizes seeing what makes you a unique individual rather than just a standardized list of behaviors and feelings. Margo’s approach to therapy centers on self-exploration, value alignment, and creating space to simply exist as you are.

Being born and raised in Alaska has provided Margo with significant appreciation for community engagement and balance with the natural world. Some of her go to activities include hiking, running, comedy shows, and exploring garage sales.
