Trinity Strecker
I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine respect for the experiences each person brings into the room. My clinical training has included working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families across a variety of concerns and life experiences, with a particular interest in trauma and its impact on how people understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. I recognize that many of the ways people learn to cope with difficult or traumatic experiences once served an important purpose, even when those same patterns may later no longer fit the life they want to build.
My approach is grounded primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on making space for the full range of human experiences while helping you identify what matters most to you and find meaningful ways to move toward it. I also draw from cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and skills-based approaches depending on what feels most useful for each person. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, authentic, and responsive to the individual rather than expecting people to fit into a particular mold. Whether you know exactly what you want to work on or are still figuring that out, I hope to create a space where you can show up as you are, better understand yourself and your experiences, and explore what you want your life to stand for. Outside of my clinical work, I am an avid reader and lifelong lover of creative projects. I also enjoy dancing, working on puzzles, trying my hand at various arts and crafts, and spending time with my cats and dogs.
