David Barajas
David Barajas is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University – Seattle. He completed his APA-accredited doctoral internship training at HealthPoint, where he worked within an integrated primary care behavioral health setting, and is now a postdoctoral fellow at PATH. His clinical experience includes psychotherapy, behavioral health consultation, psychological and developmental assessment, and work with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, executive functioning concerns, and complex life transitions. He approaches therapy and assessment collaboratively, emphasizing understanding each person within their broader developmental, cultural, relational, and environmental context.
As a clinician, David strives to be approachable, thoughtful, and direct, and he believes strong clinical work begins with genuine curiosity about a person’s lived experience rather than reducing them to symptoms or diagnoses. His background as a veteran and his broader professional experiences have contributed to a particular interest in trauma, identity, meaning-making, and the ways people adapt following difficult or disruptive experiences. Outside of his professional roles, he values family, continued learning, getting outdoors, and maintaining a grounded and humble perspective on the challenges people encounter in everyday life.
